thumb|300px|right P.E.D.R.O., Paranormal Encounter Documentation and Research Organization, was founded in 2003. They are based in the Kansas City metro area, but will travel anywhere in the pursuit of the unknown. Their first publication, Excelsior Springs Haunted Haven was released in 2011 by Arcadia Publishing.

P.E.D.R.O. sets itself apart by the level of historical research they do into an investigation site, not only of the pararomal occurences, but of the sites themselves to create a solid case for a haunting.

P.E.D.R.O. specializes in investigations that are open to the public. It is their belief that this builds a stronger body of evidence and diminishes the likelyhood of a hoax. The have done public investigations in Kansas City, Atchison, KS, Richmond, MO, Hutchison, KS, Excelsior Springs, MO, and have many more planned for the future. They help historical sites establish on going public investigation as a means of supporting the site and keeping in open for the paranormal community.

P.E.D.R.O. has also been involved in investigations at the famous Villisca Axe Murder House, The Lemp Mansion, The Elms Hotel, The Sally House, and Waverly Hills Sanitorium. They are not exclusively a ghost hunting team, as they also have done UFO watches and have looked for evidence of paranormal creatures such as the Grizmoc in Hutchison, KS.

You can keep up with P.E.D.R.O. and their events at the PEDRO facebookpage. They also teach classes on ghost hunting and the paranormal for those looking for a good place to start before joining an investigation.
